The Web site at www.uswcc.org (the “Site”) is owned by the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce, is operated in part by USWCC Services, Inc. and periodically contains information by or about USWCC Services, Inc. (These two entities, along with their respective employees and/or agents, are collectively “we,” “us,” or “USWCC.”)
1. Information Collected
When you register at USWCC.org, we ask for basic information such as your name, business name, email address, zip code and other membership details.
2. Shared Information
We share your information only with USWCC and the companies who have been carefully selected to provide USWCC member services or support the operations of the organization. Some of the providers of USWCC member services pay a royalty fee to USWCC. Our agreements with these companies require them to keep any member information they receive confidential, and allow them to use the information only to offer the contracted services to USWCC and its affiliates and USWCC members. USWCC Services, Inc. also oversee the companies' compliance with the confidentiality requirements. Other USWCC affiliates may also have access to member information that we have acquired. On very rare occasions, we also may release your personal information -- only when we are specifically required to do so by law, or when necessary or appropriate to comply with legal process or to protect or defend USWCC and its affiliates and its members. Neither USWCC nor USWCC Services, Inc. sells or rents member information to telemarketers, mailing list brokers, or any other companies that are not offering USWCC-approved services or benefits or providing services to USWCC or its affiliates.
3. Collection of Non-personal Information Using "Cookies" and Otherwise
We also collect other non-personal information that do not allow us to identify your name, e-mail address, or other personal characteristics. This non-personal information may include the number assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet ("IP address"), and the type of browser you use. None of this non-personal information allows us to identify or contact visitors. We use this information exclusively to better understand visitor usage of USWCC.org.
