New Survey Launched to Assess Challenges Facing Women-Owned Small Businesses in Federal Contracting

Washington, D.C. – As the federal contracting landscape undergoes significant changes, women-owned small businesses (WOSBs) are encountering new challenges in securing government contracts. To better understand these impacts and advocate for effective policy improvements, the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC) has launched the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Survey.

The survey aims to gather insights from certified Women-Owned Small Businesses to:

  • Identify emerging trends and challenges in federal contracting.

  • Advocate for policy changes that support WOSBs.

  • Ensure equitable opportunities for women entrepreneurs in government procurement.

"Women entrepreneurs are essential to the U.S. economy, yet many face increasing obstacles in the federal marketplace," said Margot Dorfman, CEO and Co-Founder of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce. "This survey is a critical tool to collect data that will inform policy discussions and promote equitable access to government contracts."

Certified Women-Owned Small Businesses are encouraged to participate in the survey to:

  • Share their experiences and challenges in federal contracting.
