On 9/6/17, USWCC CEO Margot Dorfman testified before the House Committee on Small Business to champion the needs of small businesses. Her testimony emphasized the need for government to protect small business interests and provide timely service and support with regard to regulatory and permitting matters. Today, the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce issued a detailed statistical report and wake-up call highlighting the disparity between the number of women business owners in America and their business revenues. This report, derived from the recently released 2012 U.S. Census Survey of Business Owners details the stark reality: women business owners are failing to achieve revenues on par with male-owned firms.

Today, the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce™ released an important report to Congress titled, “Women’s Businesses Struggle for Market Share,” which finds during a decade of strong growth in the number of women-owned firms, women’s revenue-based market share shrank ten percent.
